What a Team Should Never Forget

One blog article,http://www.stayingloyal.com/2009/08/05/football-players-who-stay-loyal-to-their-team.html on the loyalty of fans to their football team, brings up one very interesting point--a team needs it's fans to win. While  the article has other issues, this single trueism minimizes all other defects of the article. And there were defects. Frankly the article needs clarity. It discusses both football and soccer interchangeably. As a follower of neither sport, I am confused which is being discussed. Second, beyond winning a game, what is the importance of fan loyalty? I honestly believe that fan loyalty is an expression of a deeper value system that is both valuable and important. I think the relevance to something greater then a sport should be included.

This being said, I really enjoyed this article. I would strongly recommend it because of the point made at the end. Teams need their fans to win a game, and should not forget that.
