What Politicians Should never Forget

Politicians do not exist without the voters who put them in office. Just like sports teams, politicians are dependent on voters. Apparently Rep. Eric Massa(D-NY) has never heard this piece of wisdom before. To quote the person of questionable intellect,

" I will vote adamantly against the interests of my district if I actually think what I am doing is going to be helpful." http://www.washingtontimes.com/weblogs/watercooler/2009/aug/16/video-rep-massa-i-will-vote-against-interests-my-d/

Rep Massa is not alone in his determination to vote how he pleases despite the opinions of his constituency. All the Democrats refusing to hold town meetings, or restrict the opinions expressed at those meetings are as guilty as Massa. It is a negligent act for a politician to so clearly and obnoxiously ignore those who elected him, her, (or in Barney Frank's case, it) to office. For a politician to ignore voters is unprofessional, and voters should have recourse through the court system.

Another way to justify tort actions against Democratic politicians like Pelosi and Reid, is that they are paid to represent voters and they are not doing the job they were paid for. Or perhaps income redistribution is an argument that will appeal to the socialists out there. Politicians are always wealthier than those they represent, so letting their constituents get back a little of their lost and wasted tax dollars seems like a good plan.

The fly in this ointment is that politicians appointed judges. How many judges do you think are honest enough to bite the hand that "fed them"? Clearly Sotomeyer was never that honest a judge.

So what justice do Americans have when the courts and the politicians fail them? Maybe some of the patriots displaying guns at the town hall meetings (that so worry the cheating democrats) have read the founding documents of our nation and are following their advice.

The only thing King George, (or Obama) has to fear from a well armed, informed public is his own misconduct.
