Advocating Abortions

As a society, we look towards our governing bodies to enforce and proclaim laws and policies that provide for the safety and well-being of its citizens. What happens when such governing bodies impose policies that are contrary to public belief? The United Nations may be doing just that with our most precious commodity, our children.

UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) has released a 94-page analysis campaigning for worldwide abortions with children as their target promoters. These policies are hidden within this report titled “International Guidelines on Sexual Education.” This title may be deceiving. Abortion is not a form of birth control; it is the removal of a human embryo or fetus from the mother’s uterus.

Within the guidelines of this paper, youngsters at the tender age of 12 will be told they have a right to have a legal abortion. Before they reach adulthood at 18, they are instructed where they can be obtained and this program wants educators to teach them how be advocates for abortion rights.

With the promotion of this kind of moral relativism that is resonating from the United Nations, children will be taught that abortion is a fundamental human right. So far, this kind of thinking has been eliminated from the documents, but pro-choice advocates are pursuing this topic with great fervor.

The pro-life movement has its work cut out for it. More is at stake than sex education and the UN trying to shove their ideology upon us. Many questions are left unanswered; what are the moral and emotional ramifications of telling a 12-year-old how and what an abortion is?
