Wood in Moderation

While very accurate in the advice given, the article "Accenting Using Woodwork Design" relies heavily on one unmentioned assumption. that assumption is that everyone's tastes prefer finished wood and a more traditional look to painted wood and a more contemporary look. Secondly, and I am not a real estate expert, but I do not think that every addition of finished wood to a home will increase its value.

One compliment that must be made is that the article is well written and the advice held to an introductory level. While the author needs to specifically define "woodwork design" I would recommend this article to someone decorating in a traditional mode. One point that could be added is that woodwork can take a contemporary mode as well, and that a light touch on the accenting would make a single piece art, rather than home design.
